Isabella's Jewelry Designs began as a hobby. I've been making jewelry for several years, but mostly wire-wrapped sea glass with a leather cord for myself or a friend.. When a friend gave me several beautiful pieces of sea glass for a birthday present, I knew I wanted the glass set in sterling silver so it would last a lifetime. I had someone make a bracelet for me out of the glass pieces and sterling silver, and I knew this was something I had to learn.

I've become a metalsmith by studying with a teacher in Maine and getting instruction from other well-known metalsmiths. During Covid-19 and housebound for a length of time, I ended up making many pieces of jewelry. Since I can't wear them all and people kept asking me about purchasing pieces, a business was born. My cat, Isabella (Izzy for short), is my constant companion as I make jewelry, so it was only natural to name the business after her.
